We're celebrating over 25 years of service!

I can remember our first day in business back at the John Street location. Not only did my husband and I work day and night to get the store ready for opening day, but so did my in-laws and all of our good friends. The result of all of this hard work was a strong welcome by the Thornhill community. So strong, in fact, that as the years passed, Ambrosia Thornhill quadrupled in square footage yet we still found ourselves searching for more space. Then in 1994, along came Doncaster Avenue and our opportunity to expand our product selection and our customer base. Even as recently as this past year, we underwent store renovations to continue to improve our service and to accommodate an increased product range.

1979 doesn't seem like it was over 25 years ago. Over the years, Ambrosia has been the source of a great deal of professional challenges, excitement, satisfaction and, of course, fatigue. As you have watched Ambrosia grow and expand, I have had the good fortune to get to know many of you and to watch you and your families grow and expand. I am touched by the relationships that I have developed with you over the past quarter century, and I wouldn't change a thing.

A heartfelt thank you to those who joined us in-store at Ambrosia Thornhill in February, 2004, for a month of celebrations. Every day was Customer Appreciation Day as we honoured and thanked you, our valuable customers, for 25 years of business in the Toronto area. Throughout the month, we featured hundreds of samples and demonstrations of your favourite products, and thousands of dollars in prizes and giveaways!
